  •   3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  •   1/2 teaspoon fine salt
  •   2 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  •   2 teaspoons ground ginger
  •   1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  •   2 teaspoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  •   1 teaspoon vanilla
  •   2 large eggs, beaten
  •   1 1/2 cups whole milk
  •   16 ounces (2 bars) full-fat cream cheese, left at room temperature for at least 1 hour
  •   1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  •   1 cup white sugar
  •   1/4 teaspoon salt
  •   1 cup whole milk
  •   1 teaspoon vanilla
