  • (0.6 ounce) cake compressed fresh yeast
  • 1/2  cup water
  • tablespoon white sugar
  • teaspoon salt
  • 1/3  cup clarified butter, melted
  • 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • cup bacon, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
  • 1/2 cups sour cream
  • eggs
  • tablespoon caraway seed
  • ground  nutmeg to taste
  • salt  and pepper to taste
  • (20 ounce) can sauerkraut, drained
