  •   3 tbsps sugar
  •   1 tsp salt
  •   1 tbsp Shaoxing wine (mirin, or sake)
  •   2 tbsps soy sauce
  •   1 tbsp sesame oil
  •   1 green onions (chopped finely)
  •   1 tsp minced ginger
  •   3 cloves garlic (minced)
  •   3 large eggs (beaten, 2 if you want firmer meatballs)
  •   1/4 cup starch (green bean, if unavailable, cornstarch will work just fine)
  •   1 lb bok choy (stems trimmed but otherwise intact)
