Singapore Black Pepper Chicken

This recipe, adapted from Steven Raichlen's Big Flavor cookbook is a winner. Easy to make, and very tasty. Have sauce made and veggies prepped before you start cooking. Sub snow peas for green beans when in season - delicious.

  • 1   red bell pepper
  • 8   green beans
  • 3   garlic cloves
  • 1   ginger
  • 1 -2   chili pepper
  • 1 -2   peanut oil
  • 2 -3   fresh coarse ground black pepper
  • 2   water
  • 2   oyster sauce
  • 2   soy sauce
  • 2   rice wine
  • 2   sugar
  • 2   cornstarch
  • 1   chili-garlic sauce
